Ocean Ecology Limited is a marine ecological consultancy that specialises in providing a range of marine environmental surveys, analysis and consultancy services to feed into EIAs, monitoring programmes and research projects. We have specific expertise in assessing and monitoring benthic and epibenthic communities, protected habitats, fisheries and marine mammal populations and provide expert advice on the design and implementation of marine monitoring to both developers and the regulatory bodies in the UK and overseas.
We specialise in providing survey, analysis and consultancy services to the offshore renewables & energy, aquaculture, oil & gas, subsea cable, ports and harbours and the dredging sectors and also collaborate closely with leading academic institutions undertaking research projects focused on developing novel monitoring tools for marine monitoring.
As an organisation established by marine biologists, we
firmly believe in the protection of the marine environment.
When established in 2013, we set out to work with the UK’s most forward-thinking organisations making use of and regulating the marine environment. Key to achieving this has been establishing a team of highly skilled marine scientists who share the same beliefs of the company’s founders alongside continued investment in their professional development, our laboratory facilities and equipment for conducting our fieldwork.
