Blár Akur provides fish health services for fish farms in Iceland, both sea sites and land-based farms. The scope of work includes operational follow-up, monitoring of indicators and individualised service and consultation for fish health teams and site managers. Our work further includes regular health controls and extra visits in acute cases with a fast response time. We also have an emphasis on relevant courses and training programs for our customer.

Blár Akur and the mother company, Åkerblå Group, has an ambition and main goal to improve fish health, fish welfare and biological production at all clients farming sites. We are also continuously working to extend our offering in Iceland to meet further requests from our fish farm customers both on advisory services as well as environmental surveys. We are confident that the sum of experience and routines within the Åkerblå Group can continue to make a positive contribution to the Icelandic fish farming industry.
